| | | | | | Recently, Jerianne hosted the April 10th Beyond The Box program with a 2-hour interview with Jennifer Warnes. Here are links to the mp3 archives of the 1st hour and 2nd hour of this interview. A listener of KVMR since 1984, Jerianne became a broadcaster in 1998. She landed a spot in late night Blues, and in those three years helped launch the Sunday afternoon blues program Bluespectrum. A great longing to play more than blues brought her to her Monday afternoon 4:00 - 6:00 pm slot. Listen in for an extreme variety that includes lounge, jazz, blues, folk, lounge, world, "fun stuff," and an enlightening encounter when the Swami Beyondananda checks in every other week with strange twists of his weird wisdom and insights. "Words To Live By" by local poet Molly Fisk and explanations of phenomena real & imagined by Dr. Science are regular features as are occasional interviews and spotlights on specific artists sometimes with a live in-studio performance as artists drop by to play. When Jerianne is not at the station she is a freelance illustrator as well as a fine artist with her own studio/gallery in Grass Valley. Growing up all over the place and eventually living for years in the Netherlands, married Hubert (the guy who HAS TO LISTEN to KVMR) and created three children since. They all enjoy an enormous range of music so with their combined tastes she's aware of a large range of sounds. As a child she played an accordion and feels that fact alone (a kid playing accordion can be a lonely experience!!!) has had a mysterious and strange impact on her range of musical interest and odd taste (lets use the word "taste" loosely) for lounge, dramatic sounds, and the drive of a hot polka!!!! | |
